Dragon Oil has finalised a rig to carry out new drilling on its Cheleken contract area in the Caspian Sea offshore Turkmenistan. Dragon has contracted a rig from Naftna Industrija Srbije Naftegas (NIS) for two years for a new Cheleken drilling programme involving up to seven wells which will be carried out from the Lam 1 platform.
