Utopia Residences plans to sell half the cabins on a US$1.1 billion cruise ship deliverable in 2013 as floating homes. Luxury cabins on board the ‘Utopia’ will cost between US$3.7 million and US$26 million.

Utopia Residences ordered the vessel from Samsung Heavy Industries in late 2009. The vessel will measure 295 metres and displace 105,000 tonnes. Half of the cabins will be rented like hotel rooms for limited periods while the other 200 cabins will be sold as permanent residences.
