The first vessel from a world-scale shipbuilding facility at Ras Laffan, being set up by Nakilat and Netherlands-based Damen Group, will be launched within two years, HE the Deputy Premier Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah has said. Shipbuilding activity at the joint venture facility – Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar – would begin before April, he said yesterday.
