The World Bank is disbursing a total of US$20 million in loans to start a series of river dredging projects under the Jakarta Emergency Dredging Initiative (JEDI) this year. “If we are able to begin work by June, we may disburse a maximum of $20 million for Jakarta, $10 million for the city [administration] and $10 million for the central government,” World Bank infrastructure division head Hongjoo Hahm said Wednesday.
