Japan’s Mitsubishi has been given a green light securing £100 million of new investment of wind power research in the UK. Mitsubishi Power Systems Europe is preparing to invest up £100 million in a research and development wind turbine project in the UK under a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with the UK’s government, under which the UK government is prepared to provied £30 million of support funding – subject to European Commission approval.
