A Dutch government proposal to make TenneT responsible for a planned offshore electricity transmission grid will enable “optimal integration” of the Dutch network with the wider European network. According to Utility Week, TenneT, which is responsible for the management of the Netherlands’ high voltage grid, said that it is “delighted” that Minister Van der Hoeven of Economic Affairs has announced the formulation of a bill that would extend its responsibilities offshore.
