Mounting concern over congestion at Australian ports has seen the members of the Oceania Vessel Sharing Agreement (OVSA) add an extra vessel to its Pacific Southwest (PSW) service stringh. The deployment of Hamburg Süd’s 2,723TEU ‘Cap Blanche’ now means the service is plied by seven 2,500TEU vessels on average rotating weekly via Long Beach –Auckland – Melbourne – Sydney – Tauranga-Suva (twice monthly) – Honolulu (monthly) – Oakland.
