Abu Dhabi is to become a stop on round-the-world yachting competition the Volvo Ocean Race, the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) said on Monday, becoming the latest global sporting event to dock in the UAE emirate. Abu Dhabi will be one of 10 ports of call during the 2011-12 race, marking the first time a Gulf state will have played host to the event, the ADTA said.
