Holland harbor’s first commercial vessel of the season got stuck before it got there. Annual dredging is scheduled to start as early as next week, according to the Army Corps of Engineers Detroit office. A tug boat-barge combination had to back off of a sandbar at the entrance to the Holland channel after getting stuck for about 10 minutes Tuesday morning, officials said. “It just stopped abruptly like it had brakes,” said Dallas Carlson, who snapped a picture with his cell phone camera.
