A second dredge has joined the efforts to pump the region’s beaches full of fresh sand before the start of tourism season.Dredges from Great Lakes Dredge & Dock are now pumping sand onto Carolina Beach and, as of Tuesday, Ocean Isle Beach in Brunswick County. But that wasn’t in the original plan. Work on nourishing the two beach towns along with Masonboro Island and Wrightsville and Kure beaches in New Hanover County, was supposed to wrap up – and be done by the same dredge – by the end of this month…
