German yards claim Asian price dumping

German shipbuilders’ association VSM’s Managing Director Werner Lundt has accused Asian rivals of price dumping at the association’s annual general meeting in Hamburg. Asian suppliers are now targeting markets seen as the core business of German shipyards, and Lundt claims they are trying to corner the few orders for special-purpose vessels by offering dumping prices.
