In May 2010 Euro Container Line (ECL) extended their schedule to call Rotterdam Shortsea Terminals with their West Norwegian service. This to connect directly with the wide network in the Shortsea container industry in Rotterdam.
The vessels which will be used are mv ECL Commander ( 4635 dwt / 384 teu) and ECL Challenger (4560 dwt / 385 teu). They are able to ship various equipment types and sizes, are suited to plug large quantaties of reefers on board and due to the board cranes able to call all possible ports in Norway.
ECL will call RST Tuesday PM and ECT Delta area Wednesday AM to sail in a base schedule for Sandnes (Thursday PM), Bergen (Friday AM) and Aalesund (Saturday AM). Additional ports on the Westcoast on request.
