The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) expressed alarm on Tuesday over the increasing incidents of engine breakdowns of passenger shipping vessels. Coast Guard Chief Admiral Wilfredo Tamayo said during the last two months, more that 15 engine breakdowns of shipping vessels mostly in the passenger category were reported and monitored by the PCG. The vessels involved carried a large number of passengers.
