Germany’s Siemens and Italy’s Prysmian have landed a deal to supply and install cabling on two new North Sea offshore wind farms. Working together in a consortium, Prysmian and Siemens are to provide the first 300 kiloVolt high voltage direct current cabling for the Veja Mate and Global Tech 1 wind farms within the BorWind2 development 125 km (78 miles) offshore from Germany.
