Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) has managed to bring its operating profit into a positive territory by deploying its 3 assets, which were rendered idle due to the suspension of the Sethusamudram ship channel project, according to K Kiriti, general manager, finance. “As the Sethusamudram ship channel project is temporarily on hold we have been able to record an operating profit of Rs 95 crore in fiscal 2010 (Rs 34 crore loss in fiscal 2009).”
