STX France sign on for tidal turbines in France

Shipbuilders STX France Lorient has signed a letter of intent with Irish tidal energy company OpenHydro for the design and construction of an installation barge to deploy OpenHydro’s 16-metre tidal turbines. Delivery of this vessel is scheduled for March 2011.
