TGS has commenced a new multi-client 3D survey in partnership with PGS.

This project, NVG10, covers a 3,500 km2 area in the North Viking Graben area of the Norwegian North Sea. The project is being acquired by the PGS Atlantic Explorer and utilizes PGS’ GeoStreamer® Technology. “Substantial customer interest has encouraged a second consecutive year of data collection in this area, allowing TGS and PGS to continue building on the successful North Viking Graben multi-client 3D project acquired in 2009 with PGS,” stated Kjell Trommestad, VP and General Director, Europe for TGS.

The NVG10 multi-client 3D survey is supported by industry funding and data from the survey will be available for customers from Q2-2011.
