Fugro Brasil’s new office was officially opened on 22 June in the presence of CEO Klaas Wester, local dignitaries and clients. The new site (pictured) is located in the business zone Rio das Ostras ZEN, bordering Macaé. This illustrates Fugro’s committment to the Brazilian market of the future.
With a building area of approximately 10,000 m2, the new site has two floors in the administrative building, with comfortable offices and several conference rooms. At the rear, a warehouse facility of 3000 m2 with a 10 ton overhead crane and wide storage space, together with a large training room and electrical and hydraulic laboratories for equipment testing and maintenance, including a dedicated room for ROV simulation and training. Outside the building a fabrication and welding area is located together with a test tank of 8 m depth.
The Fugro Brasil site was designed to accommodate the needs of the growing Brazilian market, not only for today, but also for years to come.
