Norway’s Rocksource ASA said today that the newbuild Maersk Deliverer rig has been fixed to drill a first well targeting a potential 400 million barrel prospect offshore West Africa. Rocksource said the rig is due to arrive on location in the first quarter next year to drill the first well in the AGC Profond Production Sharing Contract area jointly administered by Senegal and Guinea Bissau off West Africa, targeting the Late Cretaceous Kora prospect.
