The Penang Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has detained three vessels from Indonesia for encroaching into the Penang waters and carrying out illegal fishing on Wednesday and Thursday. MMEA maritime district enforcement head Commander Robert Teh Geok Chuan said the first operation on Wednesday led to the detention of an unregistered Indonesian vessel, 36 nautical miles south west of Sungai Udang, here, at 3.20pm.
