The Project Organization Maasvlakte 2 and the Next Generation Infrastructures Foundation undersigned a cooperation agreement for a period of five years under the title: Next Generation Port Infrastructure, powered by Maasvlakte 2.

This agreement should unite knowledge and expertise to develop a optimal infrastructure in the ports of Rotterdam. Ronald Paul, Managing Director Project Organization Maasvlakte 2, and Margot Weijnen, NGInfra scientific director, signed the agreement on September 1.

With the collaboration the first research activities have started immediately. This project centres on a simulation of the cluster development of Maasvlakte 2-2010. Other projects are in progress. More information about this partnership can be found at Next Generation Infrastructures Foundation.
