Brazilian deepwater offshore drilling contractor Ventura Offshore has expanded its managed fleet by adding Eldorado Drilling’s seventh-generation drillship to its rig pool. The firm has also secured a multimillion-dollar assignment with Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas heavyweight Petronas for a drilling job off the coast of Indonesia in Southeast Asia.

The company has agreed with Eldorado Drilling to provide marketing and operations management services for the Deep Value Driller seventh-generation drillship. The deal expands Ventura Offshore’s managed fleet and broadens its role in the commercial and operational management of offshore drilling assets.

The firm has signed a contract with Petronas E&P Bobara for a one-well drilling program in Indonesia, which has an estimated value of approximately $58 million, including provisional sums for additional services, with the drilling contractor entitled to operating fees.

The rig award with the Malaysian operator further strengthens Ventura Offshore’s presence in Southeast Asia, where the company has already deployed drilling assets, highlighting its strategy of generating value through its integrated commercial and operational management platform.

“We are proud to have signed this contract to support Petronas in this important offshore drilling campaign,” Guilherme Coelho , Ventura Offshore’s CEO, said, adding that the award reflects confidence in the company’s operational capabilities and its focus on safe, efficient, and reliable drilling services.

Coelho also thanked Eldorado Drilling for its continued partnership, saying Ventura Offshore looks forward to working with stakeholders on the project execution.

Ventura Offshore, which has provided offshore drilling services to the oil and gas industry since 1998, owns and operates the DS Carolina drillship and the SSV Victoria and SSV Catarina semi-submersible rigs, while also managing the Atlantic Zonda drillship. The company’s rigs are currently operating offshore Brazil and Indonesia .
