India’s First e-terminal Opened

DP WORLD’s Chennai Container Terminal Ltd (CCTL) has been opened as India’s first “e-terminal” by the Shipping Minister GK Vasan.

Online services offered by CCTL include Electronic form 13, Electronic SSR, web access, web-based customer relationship management, e-invoice, e-statements and web/SMS based container tracking system.

Also installed are two new twin lift super postpanamax cranes at Bharti Dock with a lifting capacity of 65 tonnes to reduce the turnaround time of vessels. Incorporating a programmable logic control, they feature an outreach of 56 metres to handle large-scale vessels up to 22 rows across.
