ConocoPhillips Scandinavia AS (COPSAS) has received consent to carry out manned underwater operations (MUO) on the Ekofisk field.

The consent relates to diving work in connection with the company’s 2/4VA SSWI Water injection project 2010.

CoPSAS has registered a blockage of the water stream in the P2033 or P2049 pipelines (See illustration):

If needed, the diving work will consist of e.g. opening the pipe flange on the installed T-section between the old pipeline and the new flexible pipe to water injection facility 2/4VA.

After the flanges have been separated, the divers will remove any objects preventing water flow.

The divers will re-attach the flanges using a hydraulic jack tool.

The work will be carried out by Technip Norge AS with the vessel DSV Skandi Arctic.
