Falklands operator Rockhopper Exploration is discussing a new rig deal which could see up to eight more wells drilled in the South Atlantic with the Ocean Guardian rig. Rockhopper signalled today that it has held talks with the Ocean Guardian owner Diamond Drilling UK to secure the rig for a further three firm wells and five optional wells to continue exploration and appraisal in the North Falklands basin to follow up the Sea Lion oil discovery.
