IHC Engineering Business (IHC EB), a part of IHC Merwede, will be showcasing a range of their bespoke engineering solutions at the forthcoming SUBSEA 11, on 9-10 February 2011, Aberdeen at stand number B14.

The ambitious engineering company designs, builds and supports offshore equipment, including tailor-made pipe laying equipment, trenching machines, handling systems and complete turnkey integrated ship systems for the offshore oil and gas, submarine telecom, defence and renewables industries.

IHC EB recently announced the contract award to supply a 300 tonne capacity deepwater flexible-lay system for major offshore contractor, McDermott International Inc. This will be IHC EB’s third deepwater pipe laying system having completed the loadout of a J-Lay System for Saipem(photo), now undergoing commissioning and testing in Korea, and currently developing an all new Reel-Lay System for Technip, scheduled for delivery in the middle of the year.

With an Offshore Support Base well positioned at the Port of Tyne, IHC EB can not only service its manufacturing activities, but also lends itself to a wider range of services including commissioning, mobilisation and demobilisation, equipment loadout, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical testing, dry dock storage and vessel crew changes.

Further information on the products and services available from IHC EB can be found on their stand at SUBSEA 11 (B14) and via the website at www.engb.com
