Cygnus Instruments launch their latest ROV mountable multiple echo ultrasonic thickness gauge, the Cygnus Workclass.
Cygnus offers two dedicated ROV mountable thickness gauges. These units have been designed to be mounted onto most types of work class ROV with a manipulator facility.
The shallow water version is pressure tested to 2000 m and the deep water version is pressure tested to 4000m. Dedicated software displays the time, date and thickness readings on the surface and all of these can be stored or logged.
These new instruments replace the long standing 1000m and 3000m units with the following additional features with NO increase in price.

* These new Instruments are available with an Optional Top Side Repeater Unit that has the capability to superimpose the thickness measurements on to the viewing monitor. Cyglink, our Windows-based software package for independently monitoring, recording or logging thickness measurements will continue to be supplied within the standard kit.
