The first 80,000DWT bulk carrier N224, being built for the Greek owner Chartworld Shipping Corporation, was named ANASTASIA K in COSCO Dalian Shipyard on the morning of March 26. The principal leaders from both sides attended the Christening ceremony. Following that, the ship owners held a blessing ceremony in the steering room.
The day before the event, Mr. Wang Xingru, President of COSCO Shipyard Group warmly received the guests led by Mr. Lou Kollakis, Chairman of Chartworld Shipping Corp., and Mr. Antonis Stamos Faraklas, CEO of Chartworld Shipping Corp.
COSCO Dalian Shipyard received glowing reviews from the owner for the high quality of its two new build 80,000DWT bulkers. Mr. Wang Xingru promised that the follow-up work on the two vessels will be accomplished with high standards and high efficiency. He also highly praised Chartworld Shipping, which enjoys a good reputation in the shipping industry, and made clear that they were looking forward to the next cooperation opportunity.
