The keel laying of the first of two 35,000 dwt Seahorse handysize bulk-carrier for Graig MCI Limited was carried out at Jiang Dong Shipyard, Wu Hu on 28th April 2010.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from Graig China Limited, DnV and Jiang Dong Shipyard.
The vessel’s overall maximum length if 180m, breadth is 30m and the launch of the first vessel is expected to take place in July 2011.
China National Changjiang Shipping Cooperation (CSC) Wuhu Shipping Company was newly established on the basis of merger of former Wuhu Changjiang Shipping Company and Jiang Dong Shipyard(CSC) . Acting as CSC wide-ranging regional companies in Wuhu city, the company is deemed one of backbone shipbuilding enterprises under the umbrella of China National Sino-Trans-CSC Group as well as the region of Anhui Province.
