China’s Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry delivered the country’s first 388,000DWT VLOC to a private Singaporean owner on April 13. It is the largest VLOC ever built by a domestic shipbuilder. The vessel is 360.60 metres long, 65 metres wide, 30.50 metres deep, and is capable of speeds in excess of 14.8 knots. Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry designed the ship in-house.
