This year marks 25 years since Seaeye started in business.

Since that time it has grown to become the world leader in design and manufacture of electric underwater vehicles.

Innovations flowing from the company have transformed ROV performance and reliability with a number of key developments that have become industry standards.

These breakthrough technologies have included: brushless DC thrusters, polypropylene open frame design, carbon-fibre electric pods, distributed intelligence, 500v DC thrusters, 3000m 800 Hz power distribution, and the intelligent control of nodes (iCON).

During the 25 years, the company has sold over 500 ROVs throughout the world across a range of market sectors including the oil and gas industry, defence, law enforcement, hydro engineering, marine science, aquaculture and marine leisure.

To celebrate the event a Fun Day was organised at the Fareham factory, for staff and friends.

Turning the car park into a theme park, the day was filled with activities for children and adults alike, from a bouncy castle to a mobile petting farm, and from face painting to competitions. Children also had a chance to take control of a Falcon and make it swim around a test tank.

Staff also had a chance to show their families around the factory and see ROVs in production.

Managing Director, Dave Grant, praises his employees whose innovative ideas have changed the world of ROV technology and made the company a world leader.
