Jens Jacob Smedegaard has been appointed as Managing Director for ALIP in Singapore – a position he will enter from august 2011.
ALIP is the new company established in Singapore to provide modularised aluminium Living Quarters for the Asia Pacific oil & gas market.
Mr. Smedegaard has a long and diversified industrial experience within Offshore Oil & Gas Industry. Starting off in 1980 with Stord Verft he has mostly worked inside the Aker Corporation. He has held project manager and business manager positions for the past 20 years within field development, modifications and maintenance, drilling equipment and living quarters. He has worked in Far East Asia as Country Manager for Maritime Hydraulics in Korea and is now coming from a position as Vice President for Aker Solutions MMO business in Mumbai, India.
Mr. Smedegaard holds a BSC in Mechanical Engineering.
