China: CNPC Successfully Manufactures First High-Strength H-Level Marine Drilling Riser

On August 8, China’s first high-strength H-level marine drilling riser was successfully manufactured in CNPC Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Company. Test results show that all the mechanical performance indexes of the riser are in compliance with the rules and standards in DNV OS F101 Submarine Pipeline

On August 8, China’s first high-strength H-level marine drilling riser was successfully manufactured in CNPC Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Company. Test results show that all the mechanical performance indexes of the riser are in compliance with the rules and standards in DNV OS F101 Submarine Pipeline Systems.

Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Company made technical specifications for the manufacturing of H-level riser and defined technical conditions for the steel plate in 2010. The riser can meet the drilling operation requirements 3,000m underwater.
