OSM Offshore AS signs offshore wind mill installation contracts with Reederei NSB.

OSM Offshore AS recently signed two contracts with the German Ship Owner Reederei NSB for crew management of two jack-up construction vessels for offshore wind farm installation.

The vessels are owned by the German company RWE Innogy – heading the renewable energy activities within the RWE Group.

The vessels are under construction at DSME in South Korea and will be delivered during this autumn. They are purpose built for installation of offshore wind turbines, and will operate over the coming years off the German und UK coast to build up the offshore wind farms «Nordsee Ost» (295 MW) and «Gwynt y Môr» (576 MW).

The contracts with OSM Offshore have been agreed for 5 years.

– We are very happy to have these two contracts with Reederei NSB and we really look forward to commence this new challenge, says Managing Director in OSM Offshore, Morten Mellerud.

– OSM Offshore AS were selected as partner for Reederei NSB based on the long term offshore experience, availability of crew, and with focus on quality and HSE in all aspects. The contracts give OSM Offshore virtually two legs into a new market segment for OSM, and is hopefully the start of a long and fruitful relationship with Reederei NSB, says Mellerud.
