Norway: Johan Bakke Becomes New Head of Havyard Power & Systems AS

The 40-year-old from Lepsøy in the municipality of Haram, is taking over the role as Executive Vice President of Havyard Power & Systems after Tor Leif Mongstad who is starting in a new position within the Herøy-based company Havyard Group AS. Bakke is thus taking over a Havyard company experiencing a rapid development.

– I am looking forward to continuing the positive development within this business area according to targets already defined within Havyard Group. I am also looking forward to starting working on new and exciting tasks and projects for a company experiencing a good and rapid development. We have highly motivated and skilled leaders and employees in all companies within Havyard Group and we are taking on even more people in the near future, says Johan Bakke , who is starting in his new position on November 1.

The 40-year-old has worked in the Havyard system for nearly five years, the last few years as a Technical Manager of Havyard Group AS. Johan will still continue to perform this role, but will be relieved of some of his previous work duties.

– We are very pleased to get Johan Bakke onboard as the new head of Havyard Power & Systems AS. This is a business area that has seen a very positive development over the last few years and remains an important focus area for Havyard Group, says Chief Operating Officer, Kenneth Pettersen of Havyard Group AS .

There are 35 employees working in this business area in the departments in Leirvik and Ålesund. HPS revenue for 2010 was NOK 145 million with a profit of NOK 24.5 million. A further improved result is expected for 2011.

Havyard Power & Systems AS can now deliver the following products and services to internal and external customers; complete electrical installations, service and installation of Nav / Com systems, complete electrical design and engineering, Havyard IAS / PMS System, Havyard Concept Bridge, Havyard NAV / COM, Havyard Bridge Automation System, Havyard Integrated Communication System, Havyard Multi Control System and NES Diesel Electric system.

Furthermore, there are several other exciting new products being developed within this business area of Havyard.
