CDL Inc announces that Julian Rickards has officially joined the CDL team in the position of Business Development Manager, Americas.

Since Julian first began working in the Oil & Gas Industry, he has been employed with an international technology company that develops solutions for acoustic positioning, inertial navigation, wireless subsea communication and sonar imaging for the onshore oil and gas, maritime defence and ocean research industries .

Julian brings with him fourteen years of experience based on a variety of increasingly responsible roles including: testing and repaying PCB’s, providing offshore support, facilitating training courses, and operating on various different sales initiatives. Due to his previous employer’s extremely diverse product range Julian has been involved with many aspects of the offshore Oil & Gas Industry, including critical positioning and control systems, and working with ROVs.

As CDL’s Business Development Manager Julian is responsible for company’s overall business development in the Americas region, this includes efforts to increase customer base and discover where new applications are possible.

Additionally, Julian will be supporting existing Survey & Rental customers in Houston, Texas and will also focus on improving the training and support aspects currently used at the company.

When asked about his primary business philosophy, Julian said: ‘ It is about more than just selling equipment; it is about making sure that customers find the ongoing ownership of CDL products beneficial, this we will accomplish through seling well engineered products and providing ongoing support. When a customer buys a product it should not be thought of as just a transaction, but rather it is the start of a long term relationship.”

Julian’s knowledge and experience combined with his fun loving personality make him the perfect addition to the CDL team.
