Singapore based, Equinox Offshore Accommodation Limited has been awarded a letter of intent (LOI) from Petrobras for the provision of an accommodation and repair vessel (ARV).
According to the LOI the vessel will support Petrobras’ works offshore Brazil under a 5 years firm contract. Upon the expiry of the firm contract Petrobras will have the option to extend the contract for five more years.
Equinox said it will convert a new unit to fulfil the contract, and is in the process of now securing financing for the conversion project. The Company said it expects to finalise a conversion contract shortly with a major yard in Singapore.
