Danny Murray has been appointed to the newly created position of business development manager for the Middle East and North Africa.

This move comes as TWMA announces its plans to set up a base in Dubai as part of its continuing growth strategy.

Mr Murray joins the team at TWMA with over 20 years experience and extensive knowledge of Middle East and North African markets, having previously held senior positions with R&M Energy Systems and Varco.

Most recently Mr Murray served as Regional Manager with COR International in Dubai with responsibility over the MENA region. In his new role at TWMA he will manage and co-ordinate the implementation of the company’s growth strategy, driving the development of new business in these key markets.

Ronnie Garrick, Managing Director at TWMA, said: “Danny’s experience makes him a valuable addition to the team. He will play a key role in maintaining client relationships and developing the business in the Middle East and North Africa as we look to expand further into these regions.”

Mr Murray said: “ TWMA has an established reputation for providing complete waste management solutions to a diverse range of clients around the globe. I am greatly looking forward to working with them and growing our business network.

“The company plans to create a permanent base in Dubai where we plan to expand our team with the recruitment of operational and engineering staff. This will allow us to be proactive in increasing our foot print in the MENA Region.

Mr Murray said: “The Middle East and N. Africa are increasingly important locations for us with several offshore processing projects in the pipeline for 2012. The N. Africa team has done a fantastic job there and the strategy is to replicate this success with the new Dubai base.”

TWMA provides complete waste management technologies and services to the global oil and gas industry. The company is a world leader in the handling and treatment of oil based drill mud cuttings and associated hydrocarbon contaminated drilling waste materials.

TWMA operates both offshore and onshore using TWMA CCDS Handling Equipment in conjunction with its award-winning TCC RotoMill and TCC RotoTruck treatment technologies.

TWMA was formed in 2000 and employs more than 350 people at its office, processing and service bases, onshore and offshore, in the UK, Norway, Americas, North Africa and Middle East.
