HLV Jumbo Vision, one of Jumbo Shipping’s H-Class vessels in a fleet of 12 heavy lift ships, was of extreme importance in the recent transportation of five heavy lift and over-dimensional cargo (ODC) from Mumbai to Suape, Brazil, for a Petrobras project. The vessel reached Mumbai anchorage on November 11.

The first shipment of the Petrobras project included five heavy lift pieces weighing 2,419 tones, which were loaded on a barge at L&T Hazira. The transshipment of the cargo to the Jumbo Vision was successful.

Jumbo Shipping was the subcontractor for Larsen & Toubro, Hazira, within the Petrobras project.

The operation in India was performed by its agent. The Country Manager, Mr Gautamraj, Port Captain Mr M. Landsmeer and Captain J. Elling skilfully managed the port activities in cooperation with a number of parties.

The client expressed its gratitude to Jumbo for its professional attitude.

The following shipment for the Petrobras project is planned to be undertaken in the first quarter of 2012.
