At 10:36 AM Dec. 13, General Manager Mr.Wu Chengye of China Shipping Industry Co., Ltd. and Vice Director Mr.Fu Xuyin of The Rescue and Salvage Bureau of China Communication & Transportation Ministry jointly started the plasma cutting machine, which marks that the construction of the rescue vessels 4-6# of The Rescue and Salvage Bureau of China Communication & Transportation Ministry have been commenced at the same time.
The leaders from the shipowners-Beihai Rescue Bureau, Donghai Rescue Bureau and Nanhai Rescue Bureau, CCS Guangzhou Branch and The Maritime Bureau witnessed the ignition process of construction commencement.
The ship type is full aluminium alloy wave piercing catamaran, adopting the propulsion by twin engines and twin waterjets, with Loa 49.90m, mld. Breadth 13.10m and speed 30 knots, and will be used to undertake social public welfare task of human life rescue speedily at coastal sea of China.
