Velocious Australia continues to strengthen its subsea and pipeline engineering capabilities through three new executive appointments.
The Perth-based subsea engineering and remote technology business has appointed Jamie Robinson as General Manager Operations, Steve Kindness as Engineering Manager and Michael Green as Chief Financial Officer.
Between 2006 and 2010, Mr Robinson held senior global strategy and business development roles for Austal Ships, during which time he managed the Austal defence team contract-winning bids for various global clients, including the construction of new Joint High Speed Vessels (JHSVs) for the US Navy, worth USD $1.6billion.
He has also managed his own international import company and served as Engineering Director in the Royal Australian Navy.
Mr Kindness brings to the role of Engineering Manager more than 21 years’ experience in subsea and offshore design, fabrication, installation and management positions.
He joins Velocious from Technip, where he was responsible for the maintenance and development of the Business Management System within the Installation Engineering Department. His responsibilities included the quality production of safe, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions and will play a key role in the development of future Velocious products.
New Chief Financial Officer Mr Green has served in senior finance roles for more than 15 years, most recently at RM Asia-Pacific, where he managed financial reporting on a consolidated group basis.
Velocious CEO Brett Silich said the new appointments reflected the company’s ongoing expansion plans.

“Over the next year we hope to build on the success of 2011 and expand our business into new international markets.”
