Drilling Rig COSLInnovator Sails to Norway

The second semi-submersible drilling rig COSLInnovator built by Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Ltd for COSL Drilling Europe AS (CDE) was departed on 8:00 AM 21th Dec 2011. After the departure, COSLinnovator will sail to Norway by the 6 thrusters themselves, and will pass Singapore, Cape of Good Hope,

The second semi-submersible drilling rig COSLInnovator built by Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Ltd for COSL Drilling Europe AS (CDE) was departed on 8:00 AM 21th Dec 2011.

After the departure, COSLinnovator will sail to Norway by the 6 thrusters themselves, and will pass Singapore, Cape of Good Hope, etc. The journey is more than 15000 nm and will take hundred of days for achieved Norway, The drilling preparation jobs will be started then. To ensure the successful journey, CIMC send two TCT engineers together with the rig for warranty issue.

COSLInnovator (LOA104.5m, BM 65m, DM 36.85m, Draft 9.5m- 17.75m), design operating water depth is 70m ~ 750m with max speed 10.2 kts,in subsistence condition max 51.5m/sec, max drilling depth 7500m, deck load 4000T, rated living person 120 men, the rig aggregate the drilling and living in one section.
