Norwegian multinational provider of services related to engineering, construction, maintenance, modification and operation, Aker Solutions has signed a letter of intent with Det norske oljeselskap to conduct a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for Draupne.

This is the first major contract Aker Solutions´ London office is awarded in the competitive market. The London office is currently working on a pre-FEED study for Draupne.

The ongoing pre-FEED study is a cooperative effort between the engineering offices in Oslo and London.

Valborg Lundegaard, executive vice president and head of engineering in Aker Solutions , says: “The awards for the Draupne development are major milestones for our new engineering office in London. We are very pleased with the trust we have been shown by Det norske, one of the new fastest-growing recent entrants on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.”

The Draupne field is located in the North Sea, west of Stavanger. Det norske is the operator and owner of 35 percent of the Draupne license, together with Statoil (50 percent) and Bayerngas Norge (15 percent).
