The Libyan International Telecom Company (LITC) announced the activation of the new enhanced submarine cable system connecting Libya and Italy.
System uses the newest technologies to provide large capacities reaching 40Gbps instead of the old system (2.5 Gbps).
The activation of this system will help the local Internet Service Providers in utilizing the additional capacities to provide a better Internet service in Libya, in accordance to the outstanding growth in demand in the utilization profile.
In conclusion, LITC views this as the first step in cycle of steps that will cover the Libyan demand by investing in various worldwide connectivity projects.
