Petrobras announces the discovery of a new light oil and natural gas accumulation in the Golfinho Concession (4-BRSA-1001-ESS).

The discovery was made during drilling of well 4-GLF-31-ESS, known as Tambuatá. The well is located 74 km off the Espírito Santo coast, and 7 km from FPSO Cidade de Vitória, in the eastern side of Golfinho Field, at a water depth of 1,520 meters.

Well drilling will continue to a depth of 6,100 meters in order to test deeper formations. Reservoirs from the Cretaceous Period, Santonian Age (between 85.8 and 83.5 million years ago) were identified and are already producing in the field, at a depth between 4,530 and 4,670 meters, and in good conditions for production.

This undertaking is part of the Varredura Project, a program designed to booster the production of hydrocarbons in new discoveries close to existing production systems (Planóleo).
