Vietnam: PV Shipyard Plans Early Delivery of New Jack-Up

On September 5, PV Shipyard announced its successful load-out of the first “fabricated in Vietnam” 90 m jack-up rig.

Four months after, the project is in final stage of commissioning. The overall progress has reached 98.3% with more than 50% systems tested successfully. All interior furnishing inside the accommodation blocks are being installed. All three legs have been installed, welded and tested completely to its full lengths.

Drilling equipment have been installed on board. All necessary preparations for the final tests have been approved by Client and Classification Society (ABS).

With all main tests and trials to be carried out in Feb and Mar 2012, PV Shipyard is targeting deliver the rig to Petrovietnam ahead of schedule.
