Viking Supply Ships Ltd has entered into a contract with German oil giant RWE Dea for the PSV “SBS Typhoon”.
The terms of the contract are 3 wells firm + 3 x 1 well option, firm period is estimated to 260 days with commencement mid-January 2012.
SBS Typhoon was delivered to SBS Marine from Aker Aukra in Norway on the 18th November 2006.
SBS Typhoon is a medium size Platform Supply Vessel of VS470 MkII design. The vessel has DNV + 1A1, SF, EO, DP. FI-FI (Methanol) Classification and is British flagged, and registered in Aberdeen.
The vessel is designed to carry out regular supply functions and cargo transport for the oil industry. The vessel is designed with a well deck for maximum protection for cargo and crew.
