Turkey: PSA Mersin Port Receives Two STS Gantry Crane from ZPMC

It is a truth that there is very hard competition between container handler ports in Turkey. Local competitions, specially between close ports are at top level. Together with new privatizations in Turkey, this competition becomes warmer and harder. As a result of it, also profits are getting lower.

It is a truth that there is very hard competition between container handler ports in Turkey. Local competitions, specially between close ports are at top level. Together with new privatizations in Turkey, this competition becomes warmer and harder. As a result of it, also profits are getting lower. In this competition, ports choose a direction of making investments to be leader.

There was also very hard competition between crane suppliers during tendering process. But ZPMC Mediterranean became winner for the deal and PSA – AKFEN Mersin Port made a deal with world undisputed leader gantry crane manufacturer ZPMC for ordering 2 STS gantry crane in December 2010. Nowadays, PSA – AKFEN Mersin Port is having justified pride of offloading of latest technology ZPMC STS Cranes.

ZPMC Mediterranean Sales Manager H. Önder Türker emphasized “PSA is the leading port operator in the world and PSA – AKFEN Mersin Port is also one of the important gate of Turkey. We are greatful to port management for prefering our cranes for such a critical port!” and H. Önder TÜRKER added “ZPMC Mediterranean increases its importance in the port business day by day. To provide the best quality services for Mediterranean, Middle East and Black Sea regions, we will continue to take necessary actions in the dragon year, 2012”
