Japan’s Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) today reported an increase in its liquefied natural gas imports in December compared with the year before. TEPCO imported 2,075,000 mt of LNG in December, up 12.7 percent on year. Japan’s consumption of LNG surged in the aftermath of the March 11 earthquake.
