Last week Gaz-System S.A. signed an agreement for the performance of construction and assembly works for the gas pipeline on the Gustorzyn-Odolanów route, 700 mm in diameter and 168 km in length.

The agreement was concluded with the contractor ZRUG Sp. z o.o. with its seat in Poznań, selected under tender proceedings. The net value of the contract is over 178 mln PLN.

The Gustorzyn–Odolanów gas pipeline constitutes a modernisation of the current Odolanów–Gustorzyn–Mogilno transmission system. The construction of the gas pipeline will be fulfilled in two stages: Gustorzyn–Turek, approx. 83 km in length, and Turek–Odolanów, approx. 85 km in length. According to the selected variant, the gas pipeline was designed along the existing system directly connecting the Odolanów and Gustorzyn hubs. It will enable the transmission of gas in two directions, depending on the system demands, with the simultaneous off-take of gas from storerooms in Mogilno and Wierzchowice.

The co-financing amount from the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment amounts to 175.45 mln PLN. The planned date of completion of the investment is March 2014.
